FAQ: SABA NA+ August 2026 Membership Drive
What is the August Membership Drive? Whether you are new to SABA NA or an existing free member, you can take advantage of our premier membership offering, SABANA+ and its many benefits at a steep 50% discount until August 31. Use the promo code DRIVE2026 at checkout.
How does it work? Please select your membership type (e.g., Law Firm, In-House, Non-Profit, Law and Pre-Law Student, International Lawyer (licensed outside US/Canada), Other Professionals, etc.) before applying the promo code. The code will reduce your first-year dues by 50%, and your membership will automatically renew the following year at the then-current rate for your membership type, unless you opt-out of auto-renewal and/or cancel prior to the end of your subscription. Members will receive an automated reminder email at least 30 days before their renewal date regarding membership rates. For technical support please contact support@sabanorthamerica.com.

SABA NA offers a complimentary Basic Membership with access to the monthly newsletters and the SABA Referral Network. Please note that affinity groups, such as the Young Lawyers Division (YLD)—which includes Pre-Law students and South Asian Law Student Associations (SALSAs)— and the South Asian Women Attorneys Network (SAWAN), are automatically included with your Basic membership.
What is included in the Law Student and Pre-Law Student membership?
SABA NA offers a complimentary Law Student and Pre-Law Student membership with access to select programs hosted by the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) and its associated WhatsApp channel.

The WhatsApp Community Transition
How can I access SABA NA’s WhatsApp community? To ensure that our virtual community conversations remain relevant, useful and secure, and to protect against unauthorized use, starting September 1, 2026, a SABA NA+ membership will be required for continued access to most WhatsApp channels.
What is happening to the legacy Conference and CCR chats? Existing WhatsApp groups (including legacy Conference and CCR chats) will sunset following a notice period and users will be invited to join other relevant SABA NA+ channels. Rest assured, we will offer chats related to future conferences and CCR events as always.
What happens to the current General channel? The current general chat will transition into a broadcast-style "Announcements" channel. A complimentary (Free) Basic membership allows you to remain in this channel to receive important SABA updates, and includes access to the monthly newsletter. If you are a new member joining for the first time, your Basic Membership confirmation email will include a direct link to join the Announcements channel. To access additional channels and other benefits, we encourage you to take advantage of our discounted SABA NA+ membership offer before August 31.
How many WhatsApp Sections can I join as a SABA NA+ member? To maintain high-quality professional engagement, SABA NA+ members may select up to three Sections (e.g. Litigation, Corporate, Immigration, etc) to join, that are most relevant to their legal practice. Sections provide WhatsApp chats, networking opportunities at Annual Conference and during the year, specialty programs, and leadership and speaking opportunities. Please note that affinity groups, such as the Young Lawyers Division (YLD)—which includes Pre-Law students and South Asian Law Student Associations (SALSAs)— and the South Asian Women Attorneys Network (SAWAN), are automatically included with your SABA NA+ membership and do not count toward this three-group limit.
What are the rules for participating in the SABA NA+ WhatsApp channels? We ask that each member acknowledge our Community Codes of Conduct (e.g., Conference, Membership) so that they can both gain and provide relevant information, learn about impactful ways to connect, and enjoy and appreciate a community of respect.
Key rules include:
· Complying with the SABA NA Membership Code of Conduct.
· Communicating respectfully and not sharing screenshots of channel content.
· Honoring reasonable expectations of privacy.
· No promotions or solicitations other than legal referrals and promotion of SABA Chapter events.
· A clear acknowledgement that no communications within the chats constitute legal advice.
Where can I post personal updates or community news? We are creating a dedicated "Community and Culture" chat exclusively for SABA NA+ members. This will be the designated space to share personal milestones (e.g. I ran a half-marathon!), discuss community topics, recommend services, etc.
How do I actually find and join these WhatsApp groups after I become a SABA NA+ member? Once you complete your registration, you will receive a link in your confirmation email to join the Welcome SABA NA+ Members channel that all SABA NA+ Members join. Joining this channel will allow you to review and access the other WhatsApp specialty groups available to members.
