2020 Conference Sponsorship

Dear Friends and Supporters:

We are pleased to inform you that the South Asian Bar Association of North America (SABA North America) seventeenth annual Conference will be held in San Francisco, California from June 25-28, 2020.  SABA North America was formed in the wake of 9/11 and today serves as a leading voice for South Asian legal professionals and the greater South Asian community.  Our members trace their roots to the eight countries of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, the Maldives, and Afghanistan) and represent every major religious and ethnic group.  We strive to be agents for positive change in society through advocacy; education about issues of importance to our membership, including critical civil rights causes; and other efforts to promote diversity and inclusion within the legal profession.  Today, SABA North America serves as the umbrella organization for 28 chapters and 8000 members throughout the United States and Canada.

This year’s Conference is expected to bring over 700 South Asian legal professionals and friends together for a few days of learning, professional and career development, and networking. Your support of the Conference presents a unique opportunity to raise your profile, provide career defining opportunities for your lawyers and clients, and improve awareness about your organization with South Asian legal professionals. The Conference offers opportunities to forge and strengthen relationships with attendees through various program events such as CLE panels, receptions, networking events and dinners.  Sponsors also have the chance to make a brand impression through Conference print and online media.

Prior attendees have included judges, law students, academics, government lawyers, lawyers from virtually every law firm in the AMLAW100, lawyers from regional and smaller firms, and in-house counsel from organizations such as Amazon, Apple, Bank of America, Bank of Montreal, Bloomberg, Canadian Western Bank, Exelon, Facebook, General Electric, Goldman Sachs, Honeywell, LinkedIn, Microsoft, McDonalds, Nationwide Insurance, Pfizer, Prudential, Verizon, and Walmart.  Prior speakers and awardees have included United States Senators Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, and Doug Jones, former US Attorney Preet Bharara, President and CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights Vanita Gupta, Alberta Court of Appeals Justice Ritu Khullar, Ontario Court of Appeals Justice Russell Juriansz, former British Columbia Attorney General and Court of Appeals Justice Wally Oppal, and DC Circuit Court of Appeals Judges Neomi Rao and Sri Srinivasan.

We are proud to offer numerous sponsorship opportunities to maximize your visibility among our members.  Whether you are interested in sponsoring a plenary session, networking break, panel, reception, or a dinner, we would welcome and encourage your support.  Please find enclosed additional materials detailing the sponsorship opportunities available at this year’s Conference and make sure to visit http://www.sabanorthamerica.com/ for more information on this year’s Conference and SABA North America.
