Becoming an Organizational Member

Any local bar association whose principal focus are legal issues related to the South Asian community can apply for organizational membership in  SABA North America. The criteria for membership are:

  • A copy of the bylaws, articles of incorporation or such other evidence of legal incorporation (501(c)(3) in the United States or Not-for-profit corporation in Canada)
  • The names and addresses of the officers and directors of the association
  • Certification by an officer of the association of the association's membership (proof of at least 20 lawyers who are members of the association and admitted to practice and in good standing.) 

The benefits of affiliation with SABA North America include:

  • Membership on SABA North America's Board of Directors
  • Membership pricing for SABA North America's Annual Conference and access to membership events, (e.g., Lobby Day, Naturalization Drive, Leadership Retreat, etc. 
  • Subsides for local events and initiatives
  • Access to National resources (e.g., materials for our annual Naturalization Drive) 
  • Participation in SABA North America's Leadership Retreat, where you can liaise with South Asian lawyers across North America. 
  • Access to SABA North America's all-in-one membership management software
