Mission Statement
The Immigration Committee is comprised of attorneys that specialize in deportation defense, federal court litigation, criminal defense and corporate and family based immigration. The Committee is charged with the task of monitoring developments in immigration law in the United States and Canada as they relate to the South Asian community, as well as identifying, educating, and advising the community on issues of particular significance. In addition, the Immigration Committee advises the SABA North America Board of Directors regarding key immigration matters which may require Board action. The Committee accomplishes its goals through workshops, meetings, presentations and publications.
Immigration Reform is a hotly debated topic in the United States at this time. Accordingly, as a body with a vested interest, we have put forth an Immigration Reform Statement of Principles.
