Saturday Board Meeting & Breakout Sessions – 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Gibson Dunn (333 South Grand Avenue) will host our Leadership for Saturday’s Board Meeting from 9 a.m. – noon, as well as for lunch and our work sessions that afternoon. You will need to have ID for security. Dress Code: Business Casual
A call-in number will be provided for the Board meeting so that Board members who were not able to attend can participate remotely. We will be voting on several important issues, so each chapter’s participation is crucial. An agenda and board materials will be distributed by Wednesday.
The afternoon breakout sessions will provide our attendees a chance to meet with each other to share ideas on specific topics. The topic areas will be determined by requests we have had and by issues that come up during the morning meeting.
Saturday Evening Networking Event – 6 p.m.
Saturday evening we’ll take time to enjoy Los Angeles and network. We will be having a buffet-style dinner in the Cantina Room at Mas Malo (515 West 7th Street). This cost is NOT covered by SABA. Please bring $65.50 in cash (tax and tip are included) because it’s not reasonable to ask our server run 50 credit cards. After dinner, we will adjourn to Clifton’s Cafeteria. Dress Code: Stylish – No athletic wear of any kind (including backpacks, shorts, jerseys, hoodies, ball caps). No flip-flops, sandals, tennis shoes or athletic shoes. No t-shirts or collarless shirts for men, even if worn under a blazer. No torn or baggy jeans.
There is no formal schedule for Sunday, but many attendees take this time to explore our host city more fully.
Stipend Information: We are pleased to be able to provide a stipend to help our Board members attend this Retreat. Applicants are eligible for up to $500 to help defray the costs of travel and accommodations. We can provide up to 20 stipends, but only one stipend will be granted per Chapter.
